Maya Heilmann

Her farming journey began while studying Anthropological Agriculture, for which she lived in Bolivia for three years learning from the living wisdom of the indigenous Aymara agriculture. In order to better understand systems thinking and how to feed the soil food web in a Western context, she completed the apprenticeship for Biodynamic Farming in Germany. Since 2014, she has lived in the community of Schloss Tempelhof, where she and Sebastian have built up the regenerative and teaching farm into a flourishing production, providing vegetables for 250 persons year round. Here her focus is on biointensive cultivation, mixed cultures, nursery production and compost teas.
